It's been quite a while--I've been very busy, and next semester's going to really come down hard on me.
Here's something I did for my Ma recently--an inari fox.
Watercolor and ink on watercolor paper.

The assignment for this project was to illustrate two album covers for Debussy's Preludes books. This is the cover I did for Book Two, and my favorite of the two I did. It's an ink on watercolor paper painting.
Page one of my 9 and some pages for 24 Hour Comic book day. My goal was to make finished pages, ones that I'd be happy printing and possibly selling. I'll work on and off on it more to make something that can be printed. The rest of this comic can be read here.
So I'm in my last year of illustration. Very exciting, very intimidating. One more semester before thesis.
This was our first assignment for Ill5--it had to illustrate the phrase "Pet Noir", and it had to be done in 2 hours. Shortest deadline I've ever had.
Ink on bristol paper.
It's been a while since I've updated--I've been busy working in the labs with the Pre-College students at CCA. I only got to help them and get to know them for a short time, but I grew to enjoy my time with them. They impressed me with their dedication and their talent--there's some really good artists in that batch, for sure.
But I digress.
This is the cover to my comic STAKE, which will be serialized in DAZE+ magazine--their blog is over here .
watercolor and ink.
Just got back from Fanime, had a great time and managed to sell quite a bit of commissions and a couple of prints! I also got to meet a lot of fellow artists who loved what they did. I really enjoyed this year's Fanime (it was my first time going!) and I'll certainly be going again.
Next conventions on the list: HyperCon in SF, and Kin-Yoobi Con at Chabot College.
Back to the past, Samurai Jack.
Jack Jack, Jack Jack Jack.
Genndy Tartakovsky is one of my heroes, and this is one of the most beautiful shows I've ever seen.
Tofubeast T-shirt design for illustration class. I'd like to make me some of these shirts, for real.
The pitch for my comic M-Zero-Oh is finally, finally done. I'll be doing some character reference sheets and working on some more pages this summer. Think I'm going to be working more and more experimentally, I've really gotten into that kind of way of working.
Wish me luck aaaaghhhh
Hello there!
I've opened up an account on Carbonmade--you can view my portfolio there now. There's some new works up as well!

Posting just a few things before I skedaddle off to Wondercon. This is what will be in the background of page 5 of the comic I'm working on for sequential illustration--I floated the panels over this. I think I want to try experimenting with doing this comic in this kind of style. I need to get more graphic with my comics and focus on the form more, I think.
Here's the finished title page for Billman!, which will be appearing in BAAU's BAAU DOWN Vol. 9 book. Check it out when it gets published!
I've been having trouble with Blogger's image upload thing, but I finally managed to get it working somewhat again.
These are the lines for the cover of Billman!, a short ongoing comic I'm going to be doing for BAAU's BAAU DOWN vol. 9.
Mascot design for Game Theory class. We had to make a game, and because we're all overachievers, we made a box for the equipment that we needed to play said game. This is the label that is going to go on the front of the box.
His name is POP-K, which is short for "POP-KICK". XD
Page for comic I'm working on in Sequentials. Straight-up ink on illustration board.
Splash page for comic project that I'm working on in Sequentials. Acrylics and ink on illustration board.

First project for Illustration 4! We had to illustrate a dream we had. I picked the only one I could remember that didn't involve a million buildings or roads.
Acrylic and ink on illustration board.
10 more panels to go. Part of an assignment for Sequentials, in which we do 50 drawings of a scene from a movie. I chose the "fight in the town square" scene from Jiu Kuen II (AKA Legend of Drunken Master) starring Jackie Chan. Panels 5 and 15 are shown here.
Hello again, people. This is more of a "for fun" piece than anything else. I'm kind of in love with the series Durarara!! right now. It's quite unique, with its large cast, overlapping, interlocking story, and emphasis on the connections between people. The animation is really nice, too. It's kind of popular with the female fandom for obvious reasons, but I'm not really focused on the "omg hawt bishie desu ne" aspect of the show. There's more to it then that.
I got new brushpens this christmas. They're working out splendidly. : D
