Sketch for an editorial assignment in which we had to do a piece about Ira Glass' radio show, "This American Life", coming to TV. With the first sketch I had absolutely nothing and just did a simple portrait. Close, but not enough.
Sketch for Illustration 3 project. Design's okay, basic shapes are fine. Will take out the katana and the ankh, to further preserve the solid black shape going on, and bring down the mongoose's tail so that it wraps around a bit more.
Just finished Kamen Rider Faiz. These were done around episode 32-36.
The three core characters are the most complex and multilayered characters I've ever seen in a kids' tokusatsu show...although technically, Faiz isn't for kids. XD
This was doodled while I was learning how to tile my images. The idea for AF-tan came about when I was talking with my friend Rinya about what an anthropomorphic version of AF would be like.
Apparently AF-tan likes angst, drama, shipping, exciting angel battles, weird subplots, and dericious BL pairings. She can also be lazy/fall asleep easily, but when there's lots of people around to play with, she's wide awake and happy.

Uncolored BW, no black filled sketch for a project I'm working on outside of school. Hopefully I'll have some material on this finished in time for Wondercon--I don't know about APE. Speaking of APE, I'll be working the Bay Area Artists Unite table this year, so swing by and say hi if you can.
I just realized I cropped this in a rather poor manner. Onore dikeidoooooooo~
Anyway, I blame this person over here for finally getting me to make a sketchblog. This seems more sufficient then LJ or DA as a dumping ground for my work in general, anyway...so hey there, have some KR Kuuga.
This strange fermented creature can be found on a rock in the Pacific Ocean or in a tree on the west coast. Its diet consists mostly of pencils, ink, azn pop culture, and really bad movies. Occasionally, it can be found punching bears, destroying Tokyo, and making things explode.
